On the road again

Since Greg is working basically 24 hours a day, I decided to take the kids on a trip to Houston to visit Marmee and Poppy. This was no small feat, considering it's a 4 1/2 hour drive and my kids like to scream bloody murder while in their carseats. But thanks to Teletubbies and cars with DVD players we were able to make it there without completely losing our sanity. Marmee and Poppy were so happy to see the kids and it was a nice little vacation for us. Emma had lots of fun playing outside. She loved sweeping the porch and playing in the water but her favorite thing was playing on the slip 'n' slide. We also went for walks and played at the community park. Before we came home Friday night we went to the Rainforest Cafe at Katy Mills Mall. The animals there are so scary looking, I really thought Emma would be afraid of them. However, she isn't afraid of much these days and she thought the animals were fun. Cooper loved it, too. He sat in his little seat and stared up at the shooting stars on the ceiling. We left Katy on Friday night and got back into Fort Worth about 1 am. We really missed Daddy and the kids were excited to see him when we got home. It was a really fun trip. We had a great time with Marmee and Poppy and I think we'll do it again during busy season in the spring.
